The International 470 Class Association is looking after a Class Manager to carry out, on behalf of the Management Committee, a list of tasks identified in the related job description here attached.
This Class Manager function is planned as a reimbursed 20% occupation of the envisaged candidate. The total budget which the Class Association has allocated is equal to 20000,00 EUR per year of which 18000,00 EUR are gross costs for the Class Manager function (including duties and social fees to be paid by the Class Association and/or by the Class Manager) and 2000,00 EUR for material, telephone, Internet, etc.. Travel costs and accommodation are excluded.
Class Manager person’s description is expected as follows:
Essentials are:
to be or have been a racing sailor of small boats (470, dinghies or inshore keelboats);
to write accurate, courteous English to a very high level;
to have an high level education;
to be free from racial or nationalistic prejudice and to have a genuine interest in world affairs;
to have a liking of and experience with young people and athletes;
to be highly “computer literate”, including knowledge of MS Word and Excel and to have a deep understanding of the use and risks of the internet;
to be willing to travel inter-continentally by air.
Highly desirable are:
a good knowledge of Microsoft Office;
availability to work flexible hours, including during Saturdays and Sundays, and to respond by e-mail 52 weeks a year within maximum 2 days;
ability to read and write French;
experience of preparation of publications for publication on Website or for print.

The deadline for sending the CV is 8th February 2009. The Management Committee will then shortlist the candidates who will be notified of their inclusion in such shortlist. The final decision is intended to be made by mid-March 2009 in view of a job beginning on 1st April 2009
