ADESSO VELA

Era un pò che non vi parlavamo del Melges 20, lo facciamo di nuovo oggi perchè il piccolo di casa Melges è appena diventato Barca dell'Anno 2009, nella categoria One Design, per la prestigiosa rivista statuitense Sailing World.
Sembra che a Zenda nel Wisconsin sappiano come tramandare le buone abitudini.
Anche il 24 infatti si aggiudicò questo riconoscimento qualche anno fa, viatico che ha contribuito all'esplosione della classe.
Chiaro che la Melges Band si aspetta che il prossimo passo sia raggiungere velocemente lo stesso numero di esemplari prodotti del 24.
Insomma caro si - anche se con il dollaro di oggi è calato molto - ma titolato ancor prima di cominciare a regatare.
D'altronde se il potenziale l'avevamo intuito anche noi ( leggi prova ) vuol dire che ce n'è tanto!

For a while we did not talk about the Melges 20, we come back on the topic today since the little boy has become 2009 Sailing World One Design Boat of the Year.
It seems that in Wisconsin they are very good in handing down the family heritage, as a matter of fact even the Melges 24 won the award few years ago.
For sure the Melges Band is expecting the next step to be reaching similar numbers of the 24 in the short time.
If you take the time to read our test drive again you'll soon realize that Adesso Vela was much ahead of Sailing World ;-)
